Emotional, physical, sexual and drug abuses assault our children everyday; and with our therapists, nurse practitioners and psychiatrists present in schools and offices, Chesapeake Health Care becomes the home of safety, education, and support. Through individual, family and group treatment modalities, our children build fortitude through resilience, and learn the skills and coping mechanisms to overcome this adversity.
Our buses and vans transport children to after-school therapy and activities that they would not otherwise experience. The vibrant Summer Therapeutic Program provides a continuum of treatment and support during the void of school structure. Our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program is staffed by PRP counselors who implement strategies designed to increase their levels of independence within the community and at home through case management.
Currently, we have 140 children in our summer program. The funding that we receive to provide these services falls woefully short of actual costs. But with your donation, we hope to expand our summer program so that we can accommodate more children in our community who so desperately need the therapeutic services that we provide.
As Chesapeake Health Care nears its 25th year of providing health care to individuals in the three lower counties, we ask you to please consider a donation to our Mental Health Department; a generous donation will help our children get the help needed to become healthy, functioning members in our community.

Our goal is to raise the funds needed to accommodate additional children in our Summer Therapeutic Program.
